Our Writing Life and Death Together workshop on Friday 6 February led by authors Peta Murray and David Carlin in beautiful surroundings at the Herdsman Discovery Centre was a big success.
Participants heard about Peta and David’s writing journey and were guided through a series of steps to create short pieces that explored ideas, feelings and experiences of the lived realities of our shared mortality.
They also previewed their recently published book ‘How to Dress for Old Age’ – featuring tender, funny and confronting stories of their personal friendship as they both face their respective responsibilities to their ageing parents, and grapple with one big question: How to live meaningfully to the end?
