This paper, the second in a series of five, explores patient and carer expectations of the role of GPs and GPNs at end of life, their contribution to advance care planning and if primary care involvement allows people to die in the place of preference.  More than 6,200 journal articles were reviewed as part of a systematic literature review.

The paper is available from Researchgate.
The previous paper, on how well GPs and GPNs manage palliative symptoms is also available on Researchgate.
