The Last Word
Palliative Care WA is supporting The Last Word – a volunteer program where writers hear and record people’s life stories.
The Last Word will utilise the skills of volunteer writers (professional or self-taught) who are interested in scribing the life stories of people who may not have the skills, or are not well enough, to write their own story.
Similar programs are running elsewhere in Australia and we are very pleased to support the establishment of this valuable service here in WA.
If you love hearing stories, would like to help someone share stories from their life, and have some time to spare, then this could be the volunteer program for you. To find out more about The Last Word, come along to a meeting on Thursday 22 August for an update on the program and to meet others who are involved. Download this flyer for more details.
