Thank you to everyone who applied for the recently promoted scholarships for palliative care volunteers.  We are very pleased to announce the winners below.

Ms Shane Bailey (Kalamunda Palliative Care Unit) and Mr John Dendy (Juniper) are both recipients of a scholarships to attend the the Volunteer Conference one step–one word–one heart, hosted by Palliative Care Victoria on Wednesday 18 May. The conference aims to provide an opportunity for Volunteers and Leaders of Volunteers from a range of organisations to share experiences, learn from diverse and innovative approaches, and explore what volunteers can do for their self-care and wellbeing.

Ms Helen Morrell (Hollywood Private Hospital), Ms Carolyn Rose (Silver Chain) and Ms Jennifer Crossing (Amana Living) are each recipients of a scholarship to participate in Palliative Care Volunteer Facilitator Training delivered by Palliative Care Victoria in July. Included in these scholarships is online support for 12 months following the training.

Each scholarship is all inclusive of travel, accommodation, attendance and related expenses. These scholarships are made possible by funding from Palliative Care Australia.
