The growing global interest in adopting the compassionate communities approach to support people with a life limiting illness or chronic disease will be discussed at a Perron Institute symposium on Tuesday 2 August.
Compassionate Communities Reframing Palliative Care will showcase applications of this approach by world leaders in the field, and the innovative program running in WA’s South West that has been pioneered by trained volunteer compassionate community connectors supporting patients and their family carers.
