Palliative Care WA is a member-based not-for-profit organisation. Every member directly contributes to the capacity and sustainability of our role as your peak body.

Membership fees contribute to our ability to be a strong, independent and collective voice for the sector and ensure that our policy and advocacy positions reflect that of our members and the broader community.

🧡 The Board of Palliative Care WA is mindful of the cost-of-living pressures community members are under so have decided to drastically reduce the cost of membership. Individual memberships are now only $40 for individuals including GST, and FREE for concessional members (seniors, concession card holders, full-time students and volunteers). Last year fees were $105 and $53. 🧡

The need for a strong voice to represent palliative care is greater than ever. The delivery of quality palliative care is being impacted by an ageing population with increasingly complex health conditions, technological advances in medicine and consumer directed care. An engaged and diverse membership base is critical to capture the needs of those operating in and around the palliative care space. Our membership is drawn from right across the sector and the State. Currently that includes palliative care, aged care and home care providers; health, disability and community service professionals; carers and health consumers; researchers and educators; policy makers; students and volunteers.

Individual membership

Membership of Palliative Care WA provides you with opportunities to stay informed, get involved and positively impact the delivery of palliative care in WA.

Our membership is drawn from right across the sector and the State. Currently, our members include palliative care, aged care and home care providers, community service professionals, healthcare professionals, clinicians, carers, health consumers, policymakers, researchers, educators, students and volunteers.

Such a diverse and engaged membership strengthens our role as your peak body and assists us to be able to provide an independent, strong and collective voice for palliative care within WA.

Membership benefits

Your membership is important! It allows us to continue to undertake activities for the community and the sector. As a member you will also receive the following benefits:

  • Opportunities to engage and network with professionals from the palliative care, aged care and community service sectors and interested members of the community
  • Regular emails on the latest news covering activities, events, research, sector developments and key sector topics
  • Free access to webinars and in-person and online attendance at sector forums
  • Reduced pricing to attend larger events such as annual Breakfast for National Palliative Care Week and biennial Sector Awards and Gala Dinner
  • Opportunities to participate in consultations and contribute to our strategic planning, project development and systemic advocacy work to ensure access to quality palliative care for all Western Australians

  • Right to nominate for election to the Palliative Care WA Board.

2025/26 Membership fees

Individual membership for 2025/26 have been reduced considerably to $40 (incl GST) and is available to any person over the age of 18 years. Concessional membership is FREE and is available for concession-card holders, volunteers, seniors, and full-time students. Membership runs from 1 July to 30 June.

Please note that individual membership is not transferable, nor is it linked to organisational membership.

Organisation membership

As an Organisation Member you can directly contribute to the capacity and sustainability of your peak body.

A strong, diverse and engaged membership base enables us to provide a collective and independent voice for palliative care, continue to positively impact our sector’s development and advocate for equitable access to quality palliative care for all Western Australians.

Palliative Care WA engages with organisations from a wide variety of sectors including health, community, aged, disability, education and research as well as all tiers of government. Government and non-government organisations are eligible for membership and must appoint one representative to be a point of contact.

2025/26 Membership fees

Recognising the range of corporate organisations and their capacity to pay our membership fees, PCWA has created more bands so that smaller organisations can join. PCWA has not increased the overall fees and is mindful of the pressure businesses are under.

Organisational membership fees are determined by the gross annual income of an organisation as evidenced in its annual report. All membership fees for 2025/26 below are inclusive of GST. Membership runs from 1 July – 30 June.

  • $263      gross annual income $0 – $1m
  • $525      gross annual income $1m – $10m
  • $1,575   gross annual income $10m – $50m
  • $5,250   gross annual income $50m and above
