New and re-elected Board members welcomed at AGM
Following our recent Annual General Meeting, we are proud to announce that four new members were elected to the Palliative Care WA Board and 11 members were re-elected.
The office bearers were elected unopposed: President – Dr Elissa Campbell, Vice-President – Dr Simon Towler, Treasurer – Hiren Mehta, Secretary – Yasmin Naglazas. We warmly welcomed the following new members to the Palliative Care WA Board: Eileen Harris, Davina Porock, Meg Plaster and Sam Brayley.
The seven re-elected members, in addition to the executive, are Samar Aoun, Karen Proctor, Karina Bowden, Ruth Wei, Liz Behjat, Janet Wagland and Maria Davison.
Vice-President Dr Simon Towler, acting for President Dr Elissa Campbell who was unable to attend the meeting, thanked outgoing Board members Irene Montefiore, Bernadette Nowak, and Rita Alfred-Saggar for their service.
Dr Towler also recognised Palliative Care WA Life Members – Dr Alice Phua, Susie Vojkovic, Dr Scott Blackwell, Dr Kevin Yuen, Emeritus Professor Doug Bridge, Rev Geoff Blyth, Dr Douglas McAdam (deceased), Ellen Nightingale and Joy Brann.
