Travel assistance for eligible delegates attending the 2026 Palliative Care Summit

Thanks to the generous support of Lotterywest, Palliative Care WA is offering a limited number of travel subsidies to help eligible delegates from rural and regional Western Australia attend the 2026 Palliative Care Summit in person.

The Summit, Innovation at the Heart of Care – AI and technology supporting compassion, dignity and connection in palliative care, will bring together people from across palliative care, aged care, health and the community. The subsidies are intended to help reduce the cost of travelling to Perth and support greater participation from regional and rural areas.

Who can apply?

Travel subsidies are available to representatives of eligible not-for-profit organisations based in rural and regional Western Australia. To be eligible, applicants must:

  • be nominated by an eligible not-for-profit organisation;
  • attend the Summit as a representative of that organisation;
  • demonstrate how attending the Summit will benefit their organisation, community or region;
  • attend the Summit in person for the full event in Perth; and
  • meet the requirements of the Travel Subsidy Guidelines.

Each eligible not-for-profit organisation may nominate a maximum of two representatives.

A limited number of subsidies are available, so meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee that an application will be successful.

What does the subsidy cover?

Travel subsidies can contribute towards eligible travel and accommodation costs associated with attending the Summit in Perth. Eligible costs and maximum subsidy amounts are outlined in the 2026 Palliative Care Summit Travel Subsidy Guidelines.

Subsidies are paid as a reimbursement following attendance at the Summit. Successful applicants will need to provide appropriate receipts and supporting documentation before reimbursement can be made.

How to apply

Before applying, please read the 2026 Palliative Care Summit Travel Subsidy Guidelines to check your eligibility and understand the program requirements. As the number of subsidies is limited, we encourage eligible delegates to apply as early as possible.
