End of Life Choices Forum Series

In October we held the first of three forums exploring the recommendations within the My Life My Choice report in greater detail.  The first forum, focussing on the palliative care recommendations gave a very clear indication of the sector’s desire for greater funding and focus on palliative care resources and funding for rural WA.  Attendees at the second forum, focusing on the Advance Care Planning Recommendations were also very clear on their priorities which were around providing better education for the wider community (including special groups such as CaLD, ATSI and LGBTI) as well as the need for the inclusion in the Medicare rebate schedule for preparation of Advance Health Directives with General Practitioners.  Our third forum, scheduled for February will focus on the remaining recommendations on Voluntary Assisted Dying.  To register visit https://pcwa-forum-3-vad.eventbrite.com.au.
