Palliative Care WA announces new CEO
Palliative Care WA is pleased to announce the appointment of Lenka Psar-McCabe to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Lenka Psar-McCabe, an experienced senior executive in the health and business sectors and non-executive director for community and disability organisations, will commence in the role on 1 May 2023.
Palliative Care WA Board President Dr Elissa Campbell welcomed Lenka to the role and said her appointment followed an extensive recruitment process, following the resignation of Lana Glogowski.
“Lenka has significant and relevant experience in leadership, business strategy for growth, governance and facilitation, plus a passion for community service and community engagement,” Dr Campbell said.
“Her most recent role was as CEO of Perth Radiological Clinic, a position she proudly held for almost 25 years. Prior to that she held a senior audit role with Ernst and Young.
“Lenka has a keen interest in community engagement, advocacy and community education. She is particularly interested in helping community members, including those in aged care and people with a disability, to plan for the next stage of life.
“The Board and staff are very much looking forward to working with Lenka to ensure that Palliative Care WA continues to represent the palliative care sector in providing an independent and collective voice for palliative care and continues to positively impact our sector’s development, and advocate for equitable access to quality palliative care for all Western Australians.”
Dr Campbell thanked outgoing CEO Lana Glogowski for her commitment, passion and vision as CEO after more than eight years, during which time she led significant growth and expanded Palliative Care WA’s impact to achieve our vision of access to quality palliative care for all Western Australians.
“The Board and staff wish Lana all the best on her future pursuits. Lana leaves Palliative Care WA in a very strong position for future growth and sustainability and we thank her for being a wonderful team leader.”
