In Good Company event offers safe space to explore palliative care and VAD

Our ‘In Good Company’ event on Wednesday 8 July 2026 offers informal and respectful conversation, exploring how voluntary assisted dying and palliative care can together support a person’s end-of-life choices.
The event at the Holmes a Court Gallery @ no. 10 in West Perth will be supported by Dr Alison Parr, Palliative Care Consultant, and Alice Morison, Nurse Coordinator, WA Voluntary Assisted Dying Statewide Care Navigator Service.
This event is being held within ‘The Power of Choice’, Julian Kingma’s photographic exhibition of voluntary assisted dying. The deeply personal portraits and photo essays capture stories of hope, struggle, courage and acceptance. They reveal the human face of Australia’s compassionate VAD laws and invite us to ask, what constitutes a good death?
There will be space to share your reflections, listen to others, ask questions of Alison and/or Alice, and for conversation. We acknowledge that this can be an emotional topic; we will encourage safe and respectful sharing and listening.
