NOTICE is given that the annual general meeting of the members of the above Association will be held at The Boulevard Centre, 99 The Boulevard, Floreat WA 6014, on 9 December 2025 at 4.30 pm.

It is essential that you register via Humanitix HERE to attend the AGM.

AGENDA FOR THE AGM

  1. Opening and confirmation of quorum.
  2. Attendance and apologies.
  3. Confirmation of the minutes of the 2024 Annual General Meeting as per Rule 49 (3).
  4. Receive and consider: (a) the Board’s Annual Report on the Association’s activities during the 2025 financial year; and (b) the Financial Statements of the Association for the 2025 financial year.
  5. Election of office holders of the Association and other Ordinary Board Members.
  6. Any other business.

QUORUM

Any 9 members personally present (being members entitled to vote under these rules at a general meeting) will constitute a quorum for the conduct of business at a general meeting.

BOARD ELECTION

The Palliative Care WA Board for 2026 will be elected at the AGM.

  • Nominations for Board elections were called on 28 October 2025 and are now closed.
  • Number of ordinary members is determined by Rule 33 (1) as a maximum of five (5) in total and confirmed by the Board under Rule 26 (2). This year three positions are vacant.
  • Results of nominations are:

VOTING AND PROXIES

Members are entitled to attend and vote at this meeting of the Association.

Members are entitled to appoint an individual who is an ordinary member as a proxy to vote on their behalf as per Rule 52.

Specifically, the Rules for appointing a proxy are:

  1. An ordinary member may be appointed the proxy for not more than 5 other
  2. The appointment of a proxy must be in writing and signed by the member making the
  3. The member appointing the proxy may give specific directions as to how the proxy is to vote on his or her behalf.
  4. If no instructions are given to the proxy, the proxy may vote on behalf of the member in any matter as the proxy sees fit.

This Proxy Form that the Board has approved must be used for the appointment of a proxy. It includes instructions on how to vote for the Board.

The proxy form must be given to the Secretary before the commencement of this meeting.

A form appointing a proxy sent by post or electronically is of no effect unless it is received by the Association not later than 24 hours before the commencement of the meeting.
