Anyone caring for a person with a terminal illness or condition will know it can be a stressful, emotional and confusing time. Whether you have help with your caring role or not, there is a lot of information to understand and sometimes that can be hard to access.
Palliative Caring is a booklet that we have developed to help you.
A WA specific resource, this booklet is split into sections covering a variety of topics to support and guide both families and carers. The topics cover all aspects of the palliative caring journey and include:
- planning and decision-making
- the role of a carer
- providing care
- medicine safety
- death and bereavement
Palliative Caring also includes useful website links and contacts to other organisations that can provide support to families and carers.
Thanks to the generous support of WA Health’s Cancer and Palliative Care Network as well as some organisations within the sector this publication is free and available to all community members and organisations. It can be provided as a hard copy booklet or you can download the latest version of the Palliative Caring Booklet-March 2020 here.
To receive a free copy of the book contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 1300 551 704. Please note bulk copies may incur postage costs.
