National Palliative Care Survey
Palliative Care WA has partnered with the national peak body, Palliative Care Australia to address a current lack of national data about unmet demand for palliative care services
To better fund and plan for palliative care delivery in WA and Australia, we must understand the current levels of activity experienced by service providers. KPMG Australia has been engaged to conduct a survey into the changes in costs, funding, and growing demand for palliative care services in each State and Territory.
All palliative care service providers in WA have recently been contacted and asked to complete the survey. By providing valuable data and concrete examples, WA services will assist advocacy efforts, allowing us to be able to communicate effectively about the significant funding gaps and resulting pressure on palliative care service providers.
If you have any questions on the National Palliative Care Survey please don’t hesitate to get in contact on lana.glogowski@palliativecarewa.asn.au.
