7th October 2021

Palliative Care WA will hold its Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 7th December 2021 at 4:30pm. The Palliative Care WA Board for 2022 will be elected at the 2021 AGM.

Nominations are now open for election to the Palliative Care WA Board for 2022. As the peak body for the palliative care sector across the State, Palliative Care WA is member-based, not-for-profit organisation providing an independent and collective voice for palliative care. We encourage and facilitate best practice, professional development and sector-wide collaborations aiming to strengthen the sector as a whole. We also work to engage and empower the WA community and strengthen the public dialogue and understanding of advance care planning, palliative care, and grief and loss.

By becoming a member of the Palliative Care WA Board you have the chance to make a valuable contribution to our work with both the community and the palliative care, aged care and community services sectors, to ensure access to quality palliative care services for all Western Australians.

There are 10 Board meetings each year, held on the third Tuesday of the month at 4:30pm, with options to attend online when needed.

To be eligible to be elected as Board member you must be:

  • a current financial member of Palliative Care WA and
  • nominated by a current financial member of Palliative Care WA.

A member may nominate for one specified position of office holder or to be an ordinary Board member. Nominations can only be made by filling out the official Palliative Care WA 2021 Board Nomination Form and returning it to Palliative Care WA.  You can download the Board Nomination form HERE.

Nomination forms MUST be received by Palliative Care WA by 8th November 2021.
