National Palliative Care Week is an annual awareness raising initiative held to increase understanding on what’s involved in palliative care and its many benefits. The theme for this year’s week which will run from 22 to 28 May, has been recently announced by Palliative Care Australia as “It’s your right”.  It is specifically aiming to raise awareness on the rights of all Australians to access high quality palliative care when and where they need it.

Now in its 27th year, the Week also provides us all with a great opportunity to celebrate the excellent work done every day right across our sector. A range of digital campaign materials have been produced which include images and posters and a range of  resources for use at events and activities held during the week or throughout the year. You can access them on the Palliative Care Australia website.

We will be holding our Annual Sector Breakfast on Tuesday 24 May at the University Club at UWA. More information on speakers, registrations and tickets will be available soon on this website and Eventbrite.
