A new 2022 edition of our popular Palliative Caring booklet is now available.

This WA-specific resource has been developed to support families and carers as they negotiate the often-uncharted waters of caring for a loved one with a life-limiting illness.

Sections of the booklet cover a variety of topics to support and guide families and carers through the palliative caring journey. These include planning and decision-making, the role of a carer, providing care, medicine safety, respite, and death and bereavement.

Palliative Caring also includes useful website links and contacts to other organisations that can provide support to families and carers.

Thanks to the generous support of WA Health’s Cancer and Palliative Care Network as well as some organisations within the sector, this publication is free and available to all community members and organisations. It can be provided as a hard copy booklet or you can download the latest version of the Palliative Caring Booklet – June 2022.

To receive a free copy of the book contact us at or on 1300 551 704.  Please note bulk copies may incur postage costs.
