Calling for Board nominations

Palliative Care WA will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday 6 December 2022 at 4.30pm.

The Palliative Care WA Board for 2023 will be elected at the 2022 AGM.

As stated in Rule 31 in the Rules of Association LINK, we are now calling for nominations for election to the Board.

Why Nominate?

As the peak body for the palliative care sector across the State, Palliative Care WA is a member-based, not-for-profit organisation providing an independent and collective voice for palliative care.

We encourage and facilitate best practice, professional development and sector-wide collaborations aiming to strengthen the sector.

We also work to engage and empower the WA community and strengthen the public dialogue and understanding of advance care planning, palliative care, and grief and loss.

By becoming a member of the Palliative Care WA Board you have the chance to make a valuable contribution to our work with both the community and the palliative care, aged care and community services sectors to ensure access to quality palliative care services for all Western Australians.

There are 10 Board meetings each year, held on the third Tuesday of the month at 4.30pm, with options to attend online when needed.

Eligibility to Nominate

To be eligible to be elected as Board member you must be:

  1. a current financial member of Palliative Care WA and
  2. nominated by a current financial member of Palliative Care WA.

A member may nominate for one specified position of office holder or to be an ordinary Board member.

Nominations can only be made by filling out the Nomination Form LINK and returning it to Palliative Care WA.

Nomination forms MUST be received by Palliative Care WA by COB 7 November 2022.
